We are delighted to share that our friend, colleague, and member of IELT, Professor Ana Paula Ferreira, has been awarded the title of Professor Emerita by the University of Minnesota. The Dean of the College of Liberal Arts, Professor GerShun, highlights the impact of her work on both students and fellow faculty members — not only for the excellence of her teaching, but also for the depth and breadth of her research.

For all scholars working on literature written by women, her groundbreaking 2002 publication A Urgência de Contar [he Urgency of Telling], now being reissued, remains an essential reference in Portuguese literary criticism due to its originality and pioneering nature.

Now, with more time for research in our country, the signatories have the privilege of sharing several research projects with Professor Ana Paula Ferreira, always under the supervision of IELT.
