CFP: Literature and plant imaginary

The call for papers is now open for the conference Literature and plant imaginary: theoretical models, poetic forms and composing processes, which will take place on 22nd, 23rd and 24th of April, 2026, at NOVA FCSH.

The event invites reflection on the plant not merely as a theme in literature, but as an epistemological and formal model for literary creation. Interdisciplinary proposals intersecting literature, philosophy, ecocriticism, and plant studies are welcome. The aim is to explore how the plant imaginary shapes literary thought and writing.

Proposals must be submitted by November 30th. The conference is organised by researchers Carlos Carreto and Márcia Seabra Neves.
