On April 10th and 11th, the colloquium Conversa Inacabada: Literatura e Cinema em Portugal [Unfinished Conversation: Literature and Cinema in Portugal] will take place at the School of Arts and Humanities, University of Lisbon.
The event aims to reflect on the dynamic relationship between Portuguese cinema and literature, as well as explore comparative perspectives with other literatures and film traditions.The programme begins with a special screening of Vale Abraão by Manoel de Oliveira, on April 9th at Cinema Nimas, followed by the roundtable A conversa de Oliveira com a literatura [Oliveira in conversation with literature], with Amândio Reis, José Bértolo and Rita Novas Miranda.
This colloquium is organised in partnership with the Centro de Estudos Comparatistas (CEComp-FLUL), IELT, and the CRIMIC – Sorbonne.
