The tenth session of the Fernando Pessoa and English Culture seminar will take place on July 11th and will be broadcast live on Youtube.

The session will feature Rui Sousa (CLEPUL), who will present the talk Fernando Pessoa, Aleister Crowley, Hanni Jaeger, um triângulo amoroso cosmopolita no Portugal do Estado Novo [Fernando Pessoa, Aleister Crowley, Hanni Jaeger: a cosmopolitan love triangle in Estado Novo Portugal]. This lecture addresses the uniqueness of the encounter between Pessoa, Crowley and Hanni Jaeger in the broader context of the New State. It considers some relationships between the poems published by Pessoa in the magazine Presença, based on this encounter, and the way in which Pessoa presented his work to the Presence audience and, above all, the areas that he himself considered most sui generis, namely those related to the occult and eroticism.
