Applications are open from July 8th to July 31st, 2025, for the PhD in Medieval Studies (2025/2026), an e-learning programme offered jointly by NOVA FCSH and Universidade Aberta.

This interdisciplinary PhD programme is offered in an e-learning format, allowing the admission of students from around the world and providing a flexible learning experience that can accommodate different schedules and personal needs. The programme is a collaborative project involving several research centres at NOVA FCSH, including: CESEM – Centre for the Study of the Sociology and Aesthetics of Music, CLUNL – Linguistics Research Centre of NOVA University Lisbon, IELT – Institute for the Study of Literature and Tradition, IEM – Institute for Medieval Studies, and IHA – Institute of Art History.
