The Portuguese women writers during Military Dictatorship and Estado Novo in Portugal, Africa, Asia and countries of emigration project was highlighted on the NOVA FCSH website.
The project aims to integrate women’s writing into the literary heritage, promoting the knowledge, discovery and dissemination of women writers who published between 1926 and 1974. An online, open-access database has also been created, which identifies and catalogues women’s literary production during the Military Dictatorship and the Estado Novo.
The project is developed at IELT and CICS.NOVA/Faces of Eva, in partnership with CRILUS, Études Romanes, at the University of Paris Nanterre. Teresa Almeida and Isabel Henriques de Jesus are the Principal Coordinator and Deputy Coordinator of this project, respectively.
