Composed of researchers (faculty members and doctoral students) affiliated with the Universidade Aberta, this Unit strengthens the central research focus of the IELT by aligning it with the mission of its University as a public institution of reference in higher education, operating globally through an e‑learning model in Portuguese and generating privileged social impact. Within this framework, the initiatives and projects it develops [https://poloielt.uab.pt/projetos/] not only produce new knowledge but also broaden institutional partnerships, promote the integration of early-career researchers, and support lifelong learning.
