
Is a full professor at the Universidade Nova de Lisboa (UNL) and has taught on various courses at the Universidad Carlos III (Madrid), Université de Lyon 2 and Universidade Agostinho Neto (Luanda), amongst others. Her research focuses on Portuguese literature from the 16th to the 18th centuries, with a particular emphasis on the early novel, theatre and Aesopian fables. Focusing on these fields, she has published studies in Portugal, Spain, France, Germany, Brazil, Mexico and the United States. He has led five research projects funded by the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT) and the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, as well as coordinating the ongoing project RELIT-Rom.
