CFP: 6th DIAITA Colloquium

The 6th DIAITA Colloquium aims to debate the protagonism that, from antiquity to the present day, some foods have acquired, giving rise to the cult of food (in a religious, ethical, artistic, medicinal, gastronomic and tourist context).

Luiz Fagundes Duarte in the ‘Observador’ newspaper

Researcher Luiz Fagundes Duarte was responsible for the first critical edition of Mensagem. In the interview given to the newspaper Observador, the researcher explains how the only book published by Fernando Pessoa was the result of more than 20 years of work.

Mensagem e Poemas Publicados em Vida, the latest volume in the collection of critical editions of Fernando Pessoa, edited by Luiz Fagundes Duarte, was published by the Imprensa Nacional-Casa da Moeda (INCM) and is now available in Portuguese.

Conferences: Vozes na Primavera 2019

As part of the conference cycle on Oral Literature, on March 26th, at the António Rosa Mendes Library (UAlg-University of Algarve), Paulo Jorge Correia will present the conference O Lobisomem em Portugal: Lendas e Casos Verídicos.

On April 23rd, researcher J.J. Dias Marques will present the communication “Que Linda Falua que Lá Vem, Lá Vem”: Rimas Infantis da Tradição Oral Portuguesa.

The wonder whale: a commodity, a monster, a show and an icon is the latest article by researchers and members of the Chair “Ocean’s Cultural Heritage”, Cristina Brito, Nina Vieira and Joana Gaspar Freitas.

The article was published in the journal Anthropozoologica and is available open access here.

Amor de Nunca Mais

The play Amor de Nunca Mais by Vitorino Nemésio is part of the second volume of the writer’s complete work, published by Imprensa Nacional. Researcher Luiz Fagundes Duarte is responsible for editing the work.

The Obra Completa de Vitorino Nemésio collection began last year with the publication of the first of the author’s four books of poetry.
