On May 10th and 11th, the third edition of the Colóquios de Primavera DIAITA – Património Alimentar da Lusofonia [DIAITA Spring Colloquia – Lusophone Food Heritage] will take place at the Ajuda National Palace, this year dedicated to the theme Mesa, Cerimónias e Rituais [Table, Ceremonies and Rituals].
The programme for these two days covers, from different perspectives (literary, artistic, historical), the ceremonies that mark the table in the West, from the crucial Last Supper through to diplomatic banquets and private meals (secular and religious). The meeting is organized by the DIAITA – Lusophony Food Heritage project, IELT – Institute for the Study of Literature and Tradition, CECH – Centre for Classical and Humanistic Studies and the Ajuda National Palace.
