Abstract: Relatos de Criação, de Fundação e de Instalação: História, Mitos e Poéticas is a book that brings together a set of articles on Creation, Foundation and Installation myths, focusing on a wide variety of texts, from the Bible to contemporary novels and traditional literature. It intends to be one more link in a chain, between the thousands that preceded it and the many more that are in gestation, or that the future will bring, focusing on the concern that scientists (if the term can be applied to philologists and historians) of the present feel for myth. It is a varied, polyhedral book, with as many nuclei and edges as its authors have different and even divergent interests. It is also a coherent, compact book, joined together by concerns that recognize, in the focal point of the mythical, how much they have in common.
