Joana Gaspar Freitas, a researcher at IELT (NOVA FCSH) and at the History Center (University of Lisbon), received a European Research Council (ERC) grant with the project Sea, Sand and People. An Environmental History of Coastal Dunes.

Joana Gaspar Freitas’ project was the only one to receive funding in the area of History, and her host institution is the History Centre of the University of Lisbon.
