As part of the International Festival of Literature and Portuguese Language – Lisbon 5L, an excerpt from the documentary Mãos que costuram e vestem livros [Hands that sew and dress books], which is being produced by Videoteca, will be presented on May 7th at Ferin Bookshop.

It will be followed by a conversation with Andreia Tibério dos Santos, from Oficina Arte no Livro, Fernando Carrilho, coordinator of Videoteca, and Luís Martins, researcher from IELT. The initiative will be broadcast online through youtube. This documentary is the result of a partnership between the Lisbon Municipal Archive and the Institute for the Study of Literature and Tradition, with the purpose of carrying out a study on the technical procedures of bookbinding in Lisbon.
