João Pedro Carvalho has graduated in Portuguese Studies with a minor degree in Philosophy in the University of Coimbra, later completing a Master’s degree in Portuguese Studies in the Faculty of Social and Human Sciences of the NOVA University of Lisbon, with the dissertation The Herberto Helder poem: chaos and continuum. In the same faculty, he obtained a PhD in Portuguese Studies with the thesis Almada Negreiros and the Myth of the Total Artist. He has published multiple peer-reviewed essays, especially on Almada Negreiros’ oeuvre.
