Researcher Careers and Mobility

A key conference on Researcher Careers and Mobility will be held on 14th and 15th May 2013 under the auspices of the Irish Presidency of the European Union. The conference will be held in central Dublin at the historical location of Dublin Castle, the site of the city’s foundation over 1000 years ago.

This will be an opportunity to gauge progress in achieving the objectives of the European Research Area and Innovation Union with respect to researchers. Via interactive workshops and discussion fora, delegates will develop practical initiatives to help Europe overcome the well-known barriers to mobility (between countries and/or employment sectors) and career development of researchers. The conference outcomes will be fed into the Work Programmes for Horizon 2020, the next round of EU funding for research and innovation.
