In 2018 Alenquer City Hall inaugurated the Centro de Interpretação do Pintar e Cantar dos Reis in order to raise awareness of the traditions that take place in January and that the municipality wants to enhance.

The Pintar e Cantar dos Reis practice has its greatest expression in Portugal in the municipality of Alenquer. The inaugurated centre will show the practice of this tradition, using not only its collection but also multimedia content. To this end, a documentary and multimedia inventory study was carried out by the Memoriamedia project, with the aim of safeguarding the future of the tradition as a cultural manifestation.
