The third session of the Fernando Pessoa and the English Culture seminar will take place on December 11th and will be broadcast live on Youtube.

In this session Mário Vítor Bastos will present the lecture A Necessidade de uma Tradição: Shakespeare, Browning, Pessoa [The Need for a Tradition: Shakespeare, Browning, Pessoa]. The impersonal and dramatic nature of Fernando Pessoa’s writing is echoed in the modern English literary tradition. This seminar addresses the textual triad established between William Shakespeare, Robert Browning and Fernando Pessoa.
