The call for articles for the fifth volume of the critical anthology Imaginaries of the Sea Vol. V: Women and the sea, co-edited by IELT, Facultad de Humanidades y Documentación (Universidad da Coruña) and Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, is now open.

This volume combines three axes of approach: (1) The expressiveness of women who talk about the sea from the sea (their professions and occupations, unique experiences, beliefs and religiosity); (2) the expressiveness of women who elaborate representations of the sea from a place outside the sea (be it poetic inspiration, models of sociological, environmental or ethnographic analysis, or administrative and regulatory acts); (3) The sea and gender ideology: (de)constructing stereotypes.
