The webinar Garrettonline will take place online on the February 17th.

The session aims to present to the public the first visible results of a project that, due to its philological complexity, was only now possible to make available: the digital critical-genetic edition of Almeida Garrett’s Romanceiro, more specifically the poem “O Anjo e a Princesa”.

According to Sandra Boto, one of the researchers responsible for the project, “(…) the webinar will show, in a very succinct and generic way, without going into too much technical detail, a work that I am deeply convinced occupied a decisive place in the aesthetic revolution that Garrett intended (and somehow succeeded) to implement in the Portuguese cultural paradigm. Almeida Garrett’s Romanceiro was truly pioneering and relevant in several ways.”
